I was wondering is we might do children size blankets, sort of security blanket size. Then maybe we can first pick a brand of yarn, then a color family, or a couple color families (like earth tones or pastels). Then a square size. We can figure out how many squares we need for each and then anyone could decided what they want their squares to look like. And if they are the same brand and color family they would, IMHO, look like great “coordinated” sampler quilts.
Just some ideas. I also wanted to let everyone know, I actaully like weaving in ends. So I would be happy to do that part. But I still need a lot more practice sew knitted peices together, so I don’t think I would be very good for that.

We are men and women who knit and want to share our abundance with others. We come from a broad spectrum of political, religious, economic, ethnic and age backgrounds. If you like to knit and like to share, come join us.
Periodically, as a group, we pick a charity that will accept hand knit items, decide on a project for that charity and knit away. Once that project is done we start on another.
Members of the group can decide whether to join in on the project fun for any particular project, or not. Depends on their time constraints, etc.
This blog here is for our discussions about knitting, about our projects, about resources, about charities, about sharing. We don’t discuss politics, religion or sex (well, not on this blog anyway… we’ve got other personal blogs for that ;).
